Creating a new filter options

It is possible to create new filter options for the Traveler theme to further enhance the search experience for your website’s visitors. Here’s a general overview of how you can create new filter options:

Adding New Attributes

Determine the additional filter criteria you’d like to add, such as “Age”. It means that you are going to create a tour type by age demographic. The customer can find tour that are well-suited to their age and style. 

Younger travelers may be looking for tours that offer a more adventurous and active experience, while older travelers may prefer a more relaxed and leisurely pace

– Create new attributes on the Theme Settings > Attributes

– Enter the Name and Slug of the new attribute. I will add the new tour type called “Age”. 

– Choose the post type is Tours

– When completed, click Add Attribute

– Once the attribute has been added, it can be displayed on the Tour section of the WordPress Dashboard. Click on the Age tab to add new age on tour categories

– Enter the Name and Slug of the age types. 

– Write a brief description of the age type, highlighting the age range and any relevant information for customers.

– Choose an appropriate icon to represent the age type.

– Finally, the new age type has been added, it can be assigned to specific tours in the Tour section of the WordPress Dashboard

– Enter the title of the new attribute, such as “Age”, and click on “Filter Items” to select the appropriate Taxonomy option

– Choose “Taxonomy Select” and select the appropriate Age options from the list.

– Once the filter attribute has been set up, click “Update” to save the changes.
